When Hospitalization May Be Necessary
Inpatient treatment may be recommended when a child or teen:
- Is experiencing thoughts of suicide or self-harm
- Is at risk of harming others
- Is experiencing severe depression or anxiety
- Is experiencing intense emotional or behavioral distress
- Is unable to function safely at home or school
If you are unsure whether inpatient care is appropriate, our admissions team can help recommend an appropriate level of care.
