Behavioral Health Treatment Programs

Wyoming Behavioral Institute provides a secure environment for patients who suffer from a mental health disorder or chemical dependency. Treatment includes activities and group therapies designed to teach patients effective coping skills. We strive to help patients stabilize and return home or transition to follow-up services.

To accommodate the severity of each patient’s condition, our programs are offered at multiple levels of care. A no-cost assessment determines the program in which a patient is placed. The average length of stay at our hospital is five to seven days, though this may differ for each patient based on individual needs.

Discharge planning is overseen by the physician and therapist in collaboration with the treatment team and family support. We help patients access follow-up care for continued recovery at discharge.

Please read our treatment brochure for more details.

Pathways Psychiatric Residential Treatment Virtual Tour

Wyoming Behavioral Institute offers residential trauma-informed care for girls ages 10 to 17 affected by emotional trauma and mental health crises. It provides a supportive place for healing in which patients can develop new skills and learn appropriate methods of self-expression. The program is intended for girls who have experienced trauma and face lasting mental and emotional effects from it. Complex trauma exposures include loss, neglect, witnessing, maltreatment and separation. These experiences can lead to post-traumatic stress and other complex clinical symptoms.
